Campaign Story

Dear Friends and Family,

This may or may not come as news, but Amanda and I have been trying to conceive for about 5 years and counting now. In October of 2022, Amanda suffered complications during a routine laparoscopic surgery.  She is unable to work the way she used to and Hans has decided to focus less on work as well to spend more time around the house to help deal with her needs. As a result, our lives have literally been turned upside down. Things are slowly getting better with her recovery.  After countless unsuccessful attempts, endless testing, research and deliberation, we understand we aren’t getting any younger and it’s best for us to start down the path of IVF (In-Vitro-Fertilization) as soon as possible. Time is truly of the essence.

Now we understand this process won’t be easy, is arduous, and comes with no guarantees, but we have to try something if we want to bring a child into this world. We are used to trials and tribulations as nothing seems to come easy for us, but we are determined to give this our best try, as we both want this with all our heart.

Now, we’re starting this process in March regardless if anyone donates or not, but it is now that we’re asking for your generosity.
The entire process from start to finish, will cost somewhere in the range of $30,000 at least.

We rarely ever ask for financial assistance, but we’ve decided to swallow our pride and kindly ask for your help. We both understand we are in truly strange times globally and economically, so we do not take this lightly. Any contributions, no matter how big or small, would go a long way. It would mean the world to us as this is extremely important to both of us.
